Allen High School art students displayed their work in the Fall Invitational, the visual arts program's first exhibition of the 2026-27 school year.
A reception on Friday, Oct. 23, celebrated the student artists at the AHS Art Gallery, located on the second floor of the Performing Arts Center on the Allen High School campus, according to Allen ISD. The district described the show as a spotlight on student expression through the school's visual arts program.
The gallery is one of several fine arts spaces inside the Performing Arts Center, which opened in 2011 after Allen voters approved a bond package in 2009. The building also houses rehearsal halls, a black box theatre and a broadcast studio, according to the center's venue page.
Allen ISD's fine arts offerings at the high school level include visual art, band, choir, dance, orchestra, theater and music theory, according to the Allen Arts Alliance. The district's fine arts curriculum begins in kindergarten and continues through 12th grade.
The district posted a link to an official photo gallery of the Fall Invitational but did not identify individual student artists or the teachers who oversaw the exhibition in its announcement.
Allen High's gallery hosted the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts Exhibition in April, where 19 students in the IB Diploma Programme displayed works the district described as the culmination of their artistic development. The Fall Invitational marks the gallery's first show of the new school year.
