Trendica, the fashion and accessories retailer in Suite 154 at Allen Premium Outlets, is shutting down its Allen location this month.

A business representative confirmed the August closure to Community Impact, which reported the news on Thursday, July 30. No reason was given. No specific final day of operation has been announced.

Trendica sells apparel, perfumes, pashmina shawls, activewear, leggings, dresses, sunglasses, wallets and headwear, according to its website. The store's site was advertising a "50% OFF Sitewide" end-of-season sale as of Saturday, Aug. 1.

The retailer also operates a location at The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano. That mall faces its own upheaval: its interior is slated for full demolition as part of a mixed-use redevelopment, and tenants have received notices to vacate their spaces. Whether the Allen closure is connected to the Willow Bend situation is unclear.

Tenant turnover at the outlet center

Trendica's departure comes as Allen Premium Outlets, at 820 W. Stacy Road, adds new tenants. Birkenstock is fitting out a 2,500-square-foot store ahead of an Aug. 15 deadline, which would be the brand's first Dallas-Fort Worth location. Hot Topic plans a $180,000 build-out of a 2,916-square-foot store in Suite 610, with construction set to begin in September and wrap by Dec. 1, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.

As we reported July 21, Birkenstock's project filings placed the store among several active build-outs at the outlet center.

Allen Premium Outlets management has not announced plans for Suite 154.
