Omnilife, a Guadalajara-founded dietary supplement company, has opened a $64 million corporate campus in Allen that includes the company's first manufacturing plant on U.S. soil.
The facility, called Omnilife Innovation Park, combines the company's U.S. corporate headquarters, a nationwide distribution center and a production plant at 1003 Hwy 121 within the 14-acre Prodigy Park development, Community Impact first reported.
The opening was announced in an Aug. 18 news release.
Omnilife selected Allen for its location within the Dallas–Fort Worth corridor, according to the company's press release. The United States is Omnilife's third-largest market by sales volume. The company operates in more than 20 countries.
"Having our own manufacturing plant in the United States is a very important step for Omnilife," Grupo Omnilife-Chivas President and CEO Amaury Vergara Zataraín said in the release. "It allows us to be much closer to our entrepreneurs and consumers, better understand what they need, and respond with greater agility."
What the plant does
Production has begun.
In its first phase, the Allen facility produces powdered dietary supplements with an initial capacity of more than 500,000 units per year. The production line can nearly double that output without infrastructure expansion, and the complex has reserved space for additional lines and product categories.
The plant features automated filling, cleanroom-grade production areas classified under ISO 7 and ISO 8 standards, and an on-site microbiology and analysis laboratory. Manufacturing, storage and distribution are integrated on a single site.
The campus
Plano-based Heady Investments built Prodigy Park, the wider development that holds Omnilife's campus. Construction on Omnilife's two-building campus began in October 2024, The Real Deal reported.
Omnilife occupies 72,000 square feet in its primary headquarters building. A second building on the company's 5.75 acres spans 70,000 square feet and was built speculatively.
The Innovation Park was developed under LEAN construction principles and incorporates LED lighting, efficient electrical systems and green areas focused on responsible energy and water use.
What's next
The company said the operation will create jobs and strengthen local suppliers but has not disclosed a headcount. Omnilife Innovation Park will also serve as a gathering place for the company's U.S. distributor community.
The Allen plant begins producing supplements intended for the U.S. market while operations in Mexico and Colombia continue to supply remaining demand.
