A Florida-based motorsports retailer selling official Formula 1 team gear opened its first North Texas location at Allen Premium Outlets in June, adding a niche specialty shop to the US-75 corridor shopping center as it reshuffles its tenant lineup.
Racing Miami, which carries licensed merchandise from teams including Mercedes AMG Petronas F1, Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Ferrari and McLaren F1, occupies Suite 310 at 820 W. Stacy Road, a company representative told Community Impact.
The store stocks T-shirts, hats, polos, sweatshirts and accessories.
The Allen store is part of a broader Texas expansion for Racing Miami, which also opened a location at The Domain in Austin in 2026. The retailer has roughly eight U.S. locations plus sites in Europe, according to CultureMap San Antonio, making it a small specialty chain rather than a national big-box tenant. Some of its stores feature racing simulators, though it's unclear whether the Allen location includes one.
The opening taps into a fast-growing market. Formula 1's global fanbase hit 827 million in 2025, a 12% jump from the prior year and a 63% increase since 2018, according to F1's season review. Forty-three percent of those fans are under 35, and the audience is increasingly female at 42%, up from 37% in 2018.
Racing Miami's arrival comes as Allen Premium Outlets cycles through several tenant changes this summer. Trendica, which sold apparel and accessories, is closing its store in August. Meanwhile, Birkenstock filed plans for its first Dallas-Fort Worth storefront at the center, with construction expected to have begun in July. Hot Topic is building out a nearly 3,000-square-foot space in Suite 610, with a construction timeline of Sept. 1 through Dec. 1 and an estimated buildout cost of $180,000, per state filings.
Racing Miami is open.
Hot Topic's projected opening falls in December, and Birkenstock's timeline has not been publicly confirmed beyond its July construction start.
