Families looking for one last burst of summer fun before Allen ISD classes start Thursday, Aug. 13, can head to The Farm on Saturday, Aug. 8, for a free Back to School Bash running from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event is part of The Farm's monthly Family Fun Days series and includes giant inflatables, yard games like cornhole, hula hoops and ladder toss, face painting and a Kona Ice truck (available for purchase). A "School Spirit Zone" lets kids decorate bookmarks and backpack tags to personalize their gear before classes begin.
Local vendors will also be set up on-site, though The Farm has not announced specific names or a vendor count.
The Farm, a 135-acre mixed-use development along the SH 121 corridor, sits on land the Johnson family owned since 1964. Allen-based developer JaRyCo built the property into a walkable community featuring dining, retail, trails and regular programming, according to the Allen Economic Development Corporation.
The Farm described the morning as "packed full of free family fun, creativity, and back-to-school excitement" on its events page.
Allen ISD's first day of school for the 2026-2027 year is Thursday, Aug. 13, giving families five days between the bash and the start of the new school year.
