Moss Construction has relocated its North Texas headquarters from McKinney to Allen, bringing nearly 150 employees to a 25,815-square-foot office at The Farm in Allen.
The national construction firm held a ribbon-cutting at its new space on Aug. 25, at 1234 Johnson Road, Suite 290, inside FarmWorks One.
The three-story office building is part of The Farm, a 135-acre mixed-use development along the SH 121 corridor.
Moss signed a long-term lease running through July 2036, Community Impact reported.
The move lands Allen one of the country's largest construction firms. Engineering News-Record ranks Moss as the nation's top solar contractor and one of the top 50 general contractors, according to citybiz. The privately held firm, headquartered in Florida, focuses on construction management, design-build projects and solar engineering.
Jim Cuddihee, Moss Construction's senior vice president of commercial construction, said the company outgrew its McKinney space.
"As our North Texas operations have continued to grow, it became clear that we needed a larger space to support our team and future expansion," Cuddihee said in a Thursday, Sept. 3 release.
Cuddihee credited the City of Allen, the Allen Economic Development Corporation (Allen EDC) and the Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce for welcoming the company.
Representatives from all three attended the ribbon-cutting alongside company leadership and employees, according to the release.
Moss first moved to the DFW area in 2017. North Texas projects the firm has completed include renovations at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Mansfield Stadium and the Cypress Creek at Montfort multifamily development in Dallas.
The new office includes capacity for up to 100 workstations, meeting rooms and collaborative work areas.
FarmWorks One, developed by Allen-based JaRyCo, opened in early 2025 and was 50 percent leased within six months, according to the Allen EDC. The building had five tenants as of July 2026, with build-out work underway for two more, according to Community Impact.
At full buildout, The Farm is planned to include 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail, a 150-key hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, 112 townhomes and 2,400 urban residential units.
