Gorjana, a California-based jewelry brand with more than 130 stores nationwide, will open a location at Watters Creek Village in 2026, general manager Eric Misch confirmed.
The store will sit across from Grimaldi's Pizzeria and next to Ann Taylor Loft at the 46-acre shopping center along US-75, Misch told Community Impact, which first reported the news Monday, Aug. 3.
The announcement marks the first publicly confirmed new tenant at Watters Creek Village since the property changed ownership in early April. Misch called it the first of several tenant additions coming soon.
"We're trying to be deliberate about what brands we're bringing in to the center and that are giving customers a reason to come and stay longer," Misch said. "Gorjana is one of those brands. They were one that was on our target list of bringing into the center, being able to help elevate the tenant mix a little bit more."
About Gorjana
Founded in 2004 by Gorjana and Jason Reidel in their Laguna Beach apartment, the brand sells necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and charms. Its stores offer complimentary gift wrapping, personalized styling and engravable pieces. Gorjana already operates North Texas locations in Southlake and at Legacy West in Plano.
New ownership, new tenant strategy
Dallas-based Gillon Property Group, a Washburne family firm, and New York-based Town Lane acquired Watters Creek Village from Charter Holdings and DuWest Realty in early April. Ares Real Estate provided debt financing for the deal, according to the Dallas Morning News. Terms were not disclosed.
Gillon Property Group CEO Drew Steffen told the Dallas Morning News in April that the new ownership aims to bring in mid- to upper-level tenants that appeal to the area's existing demographic rather than simply filling vacancies. Planned upgrades include new signage, wayfinding improvements and expanded community events, according to Local Profile.
Watters Creek Village spans roughly 360,000 square feet of retail and 100,000 square feet of boutique office space, anchored by Market Street grocery. Existing tenants include Anthropologie, Barnes & Noble, Lululemon, Sephora and restaurants such as Vaqueros and Mi Cocina. More than 200,000 vehicles pass the US-75 corridor daily.
What's next
No specific opening date has been announced beyond 2026. Additional new tenants are expected to be revealed in the coming months as the new ownership continues repositioning the center.
