Adults in Allen dealing with anxiety, depression, grief or major life changes can get free, confidential counseling sessions every Sunday at the Islamic Association of Allen.
The program runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the IAA's building at 909 Allen Central Dr. Individual sessions are available to anyone 18 and older, according to the organization's website. Marital and family counseling is not included.
Sessions cover anxiety and depression, stress, personal growth, grief and loss, and life transitions.
No walk-ins. Appointments are required, and referrals to other services are available if needed.
The IAA, also known as Allen Masjid, announced the counseling program in a Facebook post in September 2025. The program has run on a weekly basis since then.
The counseling is part of a broader set of free services the IAA provides at the same location, including a medical clinic and financial aid for rent, utilities and food.
