Allen ISD fans heading to Eagle Stadium for Friday's season opener against No. 11 Duncanville will pass through metal detectors at every gate, follow a strict clear-bag policy and use cashless ticketing at the entrance.
The district published its updated stadium guidelines on Tuesday, Aug. 25, three days before the Eagles host the Panthers at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28.
Allen enters the matchup ranked No. 2 in Texas and No. 17 nationally by MaxPreps; Duncanville is No. 11 in Sports Illustrated's Power 25.
The district said its goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for Allen supporters, visiting guests and all student participants on the field and in the stands.
What you can bring
Each fan may carry a small clutch purse (clear or not) no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches, plus one of the following: a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote no larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches, or a one-gallon clear plastic storage bag.
Diaper bags are allowed but subject to a security search.
Backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, crossbody bags larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches and non-clear camera bags are all prohibited. So are signs, posters and cardboard cutouts, including bighead cutouts, that could block other fans' views.
Getting in
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The district notes the traditional surge of arrivals hits within 30 minutes of kickoff and recommends arriving early. A "No Bag Line" at the far left of each gate will speed entry for fans carrying nothing.
Tickets at the gate are credit or debit card only. Cash will not be accepted. Allen ISD recommends downloading the HomeTown Fan app and having tickets ready before arrival. Concession stands inside will still take cash, plus credit, debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Student section rules
The 9th-through-12th-grade student section is in sections 112, 113, 114 and 115, cordoned off from the rest of the stadium with dedicated bathrooms and concession stands. Students must wear their physical student ID and show it to administrators at the entrance.
No re-entry is allowed once a student leaves the section, and online ticket sales close at 3 p.m. on game day. Student section tickets will not be sold at the gate.
Middle schoolers in 7th and 8th grade do not have a designated section. They may sit in general admission sections 110 and 111 on the home side or with their parents elsewhere. Campus and district administrators will be present to enforce the Student Code of Conduct.
Friday's matchup
Kickoff is 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at Eagle Stadium. The next listed home game is Sept. 25 against Princeton.
