AMD Trailer Rental has closed its Allen yard and moved to McKinney, owner Amer Daka confirmed in a Sept. 22 company announcement.

The trailer rental business operated at 115 Richardson Court in Allen before relocating to 5168 Baxter Well Rd. in McKinney. The new yard offers 24-hour pickup for reserved trailers.

Daka said Allen remains part of the company's service area, along with McKinney, Plano, Frisco and the wider Dallas-Fort Worth region. Local delivery is also available.

"We moved from Allen to McKinney to make rental simpler for the people who actually use these trailers: builders, landscapers, and homeowners who need something ready when the job can't wait," Daka said in the company's announcement.

AMD's fleet includes dump trailers, utility trailers, enclosed cargo trailers, car haulers and tilt and work trailers for vehicles and heavy equipment. Rentals are available short-term or long-term, with no deposit required and no hidden mileage fees, according to the company.

Daka added that 24-hour pickup at the McKinney location means customers can collect a trailer on their own schedule. Reservations can be made by calling or texting (469) 972-8824.

The former Allen property at 115 Richardson Court sits on roughly a third of an acre. The commercial parcel was built in 2002. It was not listed for sale or lease as of Sept. 30, according to Compass real estate records. What will occupy the site next is unclear.

Community Impact first reported the relocation on Sept. 29.
