Allen is shifting one of its two polling locations from the Municipal Court to the Allen Public Library for the November election.

The library, at 300 N. Allen Drive, replaces the Municipal Court at the City Hall campus, according to a city news release. Construction of the new Allen Police Headquarters has squeezed parking at City Hall, making the courthouse site unavailable.

The Municipal Court was the third-most-used polling location in Collin County during the May 2026 primary, according to Collin County Elections data first reported by Community Impact Newspaper.

"The polling locations in Allen are some of our most heavy turnout polling locations, so we wanted to fill that vacancy, and decided to do so with what the city of Allen offered," Collin County Elections Administrator Kaleb Breaux told Community Impact in an email.

Voting at the library will take place in Meeting Rooms A and B on the east side of the building, near the Auditorium. Voter parking is available on the east and north sides, with limited street parking along the south side. Overflow parking is available at The Edge, 201 E. St. Mary Drive.

The city asks voters not to park in neighboring businesses or private lots.

The Allen ISD Service Center at 1451 N. Watters Road is also a voting location. Both sites are open for early voting Monday, Oct. 19, through Oct. 30 and on Election Day, Nov. 3. Collin County uses vote centers, so registered voters can cast a ballot at any polling location in the county.

Early voting hours

  • Oct. 19–23: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 24: 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 25: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Oct. 26–30: 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

Election Day polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

What's on the ballot

The November ballot includes races for Texas governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House seats, along with local contests for Collin County judge and Precinct 4 county commissioner.

Voters will also weigh a $600 million Collin College bond that would fund campus expansions, including at the Technical Campus in Allen. A separate $817.5 million Collin County bond package is also on the ballot, according to Community Impact.

The last day to register to vote is Oct. 5.
