Allen Mayor Chris Schulmeister will join elected officials, business executives and university leaders at Collin College's fourth annual policy summit on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The half-day Collin Leadership Policy Summit runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the college's Frisco Campus Conference Center.
The Allen Chamber of Commerce is one of 13 regional chambers partnering on the event, according to Collin College.
Bryan Daniel, president of the Texas Stock Exchange, known as NYSE Texas, will deliver the featured keynote address, according to the college's announcement.
At the 2025 Venture Dallas Conference, Daniel said Texas is "just a great place to do business," citing the "energy" and "momentum" driving companies to the state, Dallas Innovates reported.
Schulmeister is listed as a panelist on the "Finding Common Ground Through Civil Discourse" panel alongside Frisco Mayor Mark Hill and State Rep. Jeff Leach, according to the summit's agenda. That panel is one of six scheduled across the morning.
Three panels begin at 9:15 a.m., covering higher education's role in the state's future, North Texas infrastructure growth and civil discourse. Panelists on those sessions include TxDOT's Travis Campbell, McKinney Mayor Bill Cox and Collin College District President Neil Matkin.
Three more panels start at 10:15 a.m., tackling workforce talent, artificial intelligence in business and Collin County economic development. Graham Perry of J.P. Morgan, Plano Mayor John Muns and Jennifer Chandler of Bank of America Dallas are among the speakers.
"… The informed decisions we make today will shape the future of our region," Matkin said in the college's announcement. "The Collin Leadership Policy Summit will bring together leaders from education, industry, and our communities to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and explore how we can best prepare for the opportunities ahead."
The Collin County Business Alliance is the event's title sponsor. Other chamber partners include the Dallas Regional, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and Richardson chambers, among others.
Seating is limited.
Tickets are available at the summit's registration page.
