Allen ISD featured varsity cheer member Mikey Secora in a district profile published Thursday, Sept. 24, highlighting the transition from the Lowery Freshman Center to the main Allen High School campus.
Secora serves as a backspot on the Allen varsity cheer team. The district described the role as crucial for safety and stunt stability during performances.
"As you can see, I love doing pep rallies," Secora said. "This is my first one at the big high school, but doing one at the Freshman Center was still so fun and being involved in everything."
Preparation for the first game involved learning routines, practicing chants and building team trust, according to the profile.
The district said every stunting routine requires strong communication, accountability and focus from everyone on the mat.
The profile is part of Allen ISD's "Endless Opportunities in Allen" series, which spotlights individual students across programs.
