Dr. Kris Koelker, a 2003 Allen High School graduate who has practiced dentistry in Allen since 2013, opened a new 2,475-square-foot office at 960 W. Exchange Pkwy. after a $415,245 build-out.

Koelker Dental announced its grand opening July 2 in an Instagram post and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce, documented in a video posted July 7 by the project's architecture firm. The practice relocated from another Allen location, moving "just down the road," as the office described it in an April Instagram announcement.

The new space is in Suite 100 of a building owned by TDX Realty LLC of Frisco. It underwent interior finish-out construction from Jan. 12 through May 4, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit filed for the project.

The practice is family-owned.

Koelker Dental offers general dentistry, oral surgery, cosmetic procedures and restorative work, per the practice's website. Services include dental implants, All-on-4 implants, wisdom teeth removal, root canals, Invisalign, teeth whitening and emergency care.

Dr. Koelker is one of the only general dentists in North Texas who performs IV sedation, a skill he developed during an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UT Health San Antonio after earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery there in 2012, graduating cum laude. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Texas Tech University, also cum laude, before dental school.

He has won the CommunityVotes Platinum Award for top dentist in Allen three years running, in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The office is accepting new patients at (972) 521-9848 or through koelkerdental.com.
