Allen's Sophia Sadigova has earned a Formula 4 (F4) racing seat with Box Motorsports for the 2027 season.

The Lowery Freshman Center student finished within four seconds of the lap record during a two-day test at MSR Houston in Angleton. Box Motorsports responded with a seat offer, according to Allen ISD, which featured Sadigova in a student spotlight published Sept. 16.

F4 is the entry-level open-wheel single-seater category, created by the FIA in 2013 as a bridge between karting and professional racing. The cars produce about 160 horsepower, and drivers typically must be at least 15 to compete.

Sadigova's path started at age 9, when she began karting. By 11, she was a North Texas champion in the 60cc kart division and ranked among the top 10 drivers in the region.

She kept climbing.

In 2025, Sadigova moved up to the 125cc Rotax junior class. She finished second in the DFW Triple Crown series, a three-race circuit held at North Texas Karters, Kartmoto and Dallas Karting Complex. She also recorded multiple podium finishes in the Texas Karting League, which operates under the Rotax rule set.

Her F4 test at MSR Houston came in 2026. Over two days on the Angleton road course, Sadigova closed to within four seconds of the track's lap record, a performance strong enough to draw the attention of Box Motorsports.

Box Motorsports, a driver-development team, maps a pathway from karting through F4, Formula 3 and Indy Next toward professional contracts. The team runs F4 programs in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

Sadigova balances her racing schedule with coursework at Lowery Freshman Center. The district's spotlight noted she manages the time and commitment required to compete in motorsports alongside her freshman-year studies.

The specific F4 championship Sadigova would enter in 2027 and the season start date have not been announced. Box Motorsports' pathway includes series across three continents, and the team has not specified which one Sadigova would join.
